I’ve been making homemade peach sorbet for many years.
Every summer, I buy peaches during their peak ripeness, then I peel them, add them to a food processor with sugar and lemon juice.
Then after I puree the mixture, I churn the sorbet in my ice cream maker.
It’s delicious, but definitely takes quite a bit of effort.
So when I discovered that you can make delicious Ninja Creami sorbet recipes with something as simple as canned fruit, I was sold!
Not only does it require less effort, but I can enjoy the frozen treat year-round, even when fresh peaches aren’t in season.
This Ninja Creami peach sorbet is made with just two ingredients, and no peeling is required!

Ninja Creami Sorbet Using Canned Peaches
One of my favorite features of the Ninja Creami machine is the ability to make frozen treats with ingredients you might not otherwise be able to use in traditional ice cream makers.
I’ve made Ninja Creami mango sorbet and Ninja Creami pear sorbet using canned fruit.
I’ve made Ninja Creami applesauce sorbet using–you guessed it–applesauce!
I’ve also made cherry limeade sorbet and berry lemonade sorbet in my Ninja Creami using canned pie filling.
Then I made kiwi sorbet with fresh, ripe kiwi, and cantaloupe sorbet with a juicy melon.
Not only that, but I’ve made Ninja Creami grape sorbet from Jell-O!
And I’ve made violet lemonade sorbet using fresh lemons and flavored syrup. There are just so many possibilities!
The best part about making sorbet with canned fruit is that you can easily adjust the sweetness of your sorbet based on your personal preference and your dietary needs.
This sorbet is also a great dairy-free Ninja Creami recipe, since it doesn’t use any heavy cream, cream cheese, or milk.
Then once the frozen base is processed, you end up with a lovely, creamy texture and delightful peach flavor, making this simple sorbet recipe one you’ll want to make again and again!
You can eat it as-is or use it as the base for a smoothie bowl, topping it with fresh fruit, nuts, etc.
What Kind of Canned Peaches Should I Use in the Ninja Creami?
Because you can buy canned fruit packed in juice, light syrup, or heavy syrup, you can choose the option that suits you best.
Personally, I tend to prefer using fruit in heavy syrup or sometimes light syrup. So I used a can of peaches packed in heavy syrup.
One thing to keep in mind is that the mixture will be a bit less sweet after it’s frozen, so I like to sometimes add a tablespoon or two of sugar, monk fruit sweetener, or maple syrup to the mixture before freezing.
That’s what I do when I make Ninja Creami peach frozen yogurt, too, and it always works great.
How to Make Ninja Creami Peach Sorbet
It’s easy to make this delicious peach sorbet in your Ninja Creami ice cream maker!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Canned diced peaches (I used peaches in heavy syrup)
- Optional: Additional sweetener to taste
How to Make it:
Prepare the base. Pour the canned diced peaches and their liquid into a Ninja Creami pint container, being careful not to exceed the max fill line.
If you’re adding any sweetener, go ahead and stir it in now. Taste and adjust as needed.
Freeze. Place the lid on the container and transfer to a level surface in your freezer. Freeze for at least 24 hours.
Spin. Remove the pint from the freezer and take off the lid. Place the pint into the outer bowl and secure the outer bowl lid.
Place bowl assembly into the machine and lock into place. Press the Sorbet button and allow the motor base to spin the sorbet.
Check texture. Remove the pint from the machine and take off the lid. Check the consistency of the sorbet.
If it looks a little crumbly, you can return it to the machine and use the Re-spin function to spin it again.
If it’s still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of water or juice to the pint, then Re-spin again.
Now you have a tasty treat that’s ready to scoop up and serve!
Notes and Adaptations:
- You can adjust the sweetness by choosing the liquid your fruit is packed in: fruit juice, light syrup, or heavy syrup. I prefer heavy syrup for this peach sorbet.
- If desired, add 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup, sugar, or other sweetener to the peach mixture before freezing. Keep in mind that sweetness typically diminishes somewhat after freezing.
- Feel free to add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to the mixture before freezing, which can help to brighten the flavors a bit.
