When summer rolls around, I want ALL of the fresh, seasonal fruit!

And while we often eat the fresh fruit plain, I also love to make Ninja Creami sorbets with a lot of it.

Melon is a particularly tasty option for sorbet, because it’s juicy and sweet on its own, but tastes like an indulgent dessert when it’s transformed into a frozen dessert.

If you love enjoying cantaloupe on a hot summer day, you’re going to love this Ninja Creami cantaloupe sorbet!

As a bonus, it’s super easy to make, without a lot of effort on your part.

Making Ninja Creami Sorbet with Fresh Cantaloupe

It’s really quite simple to make fresh melon sorbet in the Ninja Creami.

But because there are so few ingredients in this recipe, you need to start out with a good, ripe cantaloupe!

You won’t need to add as much sweetener, and the overall flavor will be better.

If you do end up with a lackluster cantaloupe, you can probably salvage it by adding some extra sweetener or lemon juice, but keep in mind that the texture will be different if it was a pretty dry melon.

So just make sure to use quality cantaloupe for the best results!

You can use sugar or monk fruit sweetener.

If you want to cut back on calories and make this a Weight-Watchers friendly Ninja Creami treat, go for the monkfruit sweetener!

And of course, this is a dairy-free recipe on its own, which makes it a fantastic option for those with dietary restrictions.

Notes and Adaptations:

  • Lemon juice is technically optional, but it really does enhance the natural flavor of the cantaloupe. So I recommend using it if possible!
  • Depending on the sweetness of your melon, you may need to adjust the amount of sugar. You can always taste the mixture before freezing and add some extra sweetener, if needed.
