Cherry Lime Sorbet in the Ninja Creami
Ever since I learned you can use pie filling to make sorbet in the Ninja Creami ice cream maker, I’ve been experimenting with different varieties.
This version is one of my favorites, because it’s the perfect balance of sweet cherries with the tart zing of lime juice.
It’s like cherry sorbet with zippy citrus added in, and it’s the perfect treat for hot summer days.
The main ingredients are pie filling and fresh lime, so it’s super simple to whip up a batch whenever the craving strikes.
It’s similar to my Ninja Creami berry lemonade sorbet, and the method is so easy!

How to Make Ninja Creami Cherry Limeade Sorbet
I’ll show you how easy it is to make this simple Ninja Creami sorbet recipe!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Cherry pie filling
- Fresh lime juice
- Lime zest
How to Make it:
Mix the base. In a small bowl, large measuring cup, or your Ninja Creami pint container, add the lime juice.
Next, mix together the cherry pie filling and lime juice until combined. Add in the lime zest and stir to combine.
Freeze. Place the lid on the Ninja Creami pint and transfer it to a level surface in your freezer. Freeze for at least 24 hours.
Spin. Remove the pint from the freezer and take off the lid.
Place it in the outer bowl apparatus and lock the outer bowl lid into place. Place bowl assembly in the Ninja Creami ice cream machine and lock it into place.
Press the Sorbet button and allow the process to finish, which should take about 2 minutes.
Re-spin if needed. Remove the outer bowl from the machine and check the texture of the sorbet.
If it seems crumbly after the first spin, you can return it to the machine and use the Re-spin button to cycle it again, which should take care of it.
Scoop and serve!
Notes and Adaptations:
- Fresh lime juice and zest are key to having the best tart lime flavor, so don’t use bottled lime juice.
- Feel free to garnish your ice cream dish with lime slices!
- Since there’s no cream cheese, whole milk, or heavy cream like many Ninja Creami recipes, this sorbet is already dairy-free, making it a great option for those with dietary restrictions.
