Cookies and cream ice cream has long been one of the most requested varieties in my home.
I’ve been making a no-churn variety of the ice cream for several years, which meant it was only a matter of time before I made a version in the Ninja Creami.
In my opinion, the best Ninja Creami recipes are those that are easy to make, so I try to keep my recipes simple.
If you’re a fan of Oreo cookies in a sweet ice cream base, you’re in for a treat with this easy recipe for Ninja Creami cookies and cream ice cream!
It’s the perfect texture, has plenty of cookie bits mixed in throughout, and requires just a few simple ingredients to make it happen.
Oreo Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami
The great thing about the Ninja Creami ice cream maker is that you can make homemade ice cream with minimal effort.
You don’t have to wait for the drum of an ice cream machine to freeze, you don’t need to whip cream to perfection or temper egg yolks…you just mix up your base and freeze!
For this recipe, I considered using a Ninja Creami vanilla ice cream recipe, but decided to change it up slightly.
I made a Ninja Creami sweet cream ice cream (using sweetened condensed milk), then after spinning it, I added chopped chocolate sandwich cookies, which adds textural contrast and additional flavor to the creamy ice cream.
I used Oreo cookies, but you can use any kind of cookies you’d like! Golden Oreos, Mint Oreos, Girl Scout cookies, and more would all be delicious additions.

How to Make Ninja Creami Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
Satisfy your sweet tooth with this easy but decadent frozen treat. The creamy texture is a dream come true!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Heavy whipping cream
- Whole milk
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Vanilla extract
- Chopped cookies, such as Oreos
How to Make it:
Mix the base. In a small bowl or large liquid measuring cup, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla extract.
Freeze. Transfer the mixture to a Ninja Creami pint container and close the lid. Place it on a level surface in your freezer and freeze for at least 24 hours.
Spin. Remove from the freezer and take off the lid. Place the pint container into the outer bowl assembly and close the outer bowl lid. Place bowl assembly into the Ninja ice cream maker.
Select the Ice Cream function. The motor base will start and the cycle will take about two minutes to complete.
Re-spin if needed. Remove the pint from the Ninja Creami ice cream machine and check the consistency. If it appears crumbly, you can insert it back into the machine and run the re-spin function.
If it’s still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of milk and re-spin again, which should do the trick.
Add mix-in. Create a well in the ice cream that’s about 1/2-inch wide and extends to the bottom of the container.
Add the chopped cookies to this well, ensuring the cookies fill the well completely from the bottom of the pint to the top.
Replace the outer bowl lid and insert into the machine. Use the Mix-in function to spin.
Now it’s ready to scoop and serve!
Notes and Adaptations:
- Feel free to experiment with different cookie varieties!
- Don’t chop the cookies too finely. I coarsely chopped them because I knew the pieces would break down a little bit more during the mix-in cycle.
- You can use vanilla bean paste instead of vanilla extract if you’d like.
- If you need a vegan option, you can try using sweetened condensed coconut milk, coconut cream instead of heavy cream, and coconut milk, oat milk, or almond milk instead of the whole milk.
- If you’re enjoying leftovers, I recommend letting the pint container sit out at room temperature for about 10 minutes or so to soften slightly before scooping.
