There aren’t many things more refreshing on a hot day than a glass of ice cold lemonade.
But when you take that lemonade to the next level by adding sweet berry flavors, it’s even better!
And transforming berry lemonade into sorbet? That’s the best treat of all!
The Ninja Creami machine makes it easier than you think to turn a couple of simple ingredients into a zippy sweet treat you’ll want to make again and again.
As a bonus, it’s easy to customize, so you can change up the variety of berries used from time to time.
The best Ninja Creami sorbet recipes are the ones that are easy to make but still feel indulgent, and this one fits the bill!
Berry Lemon Sorbet in the Ninja Creami
In my opinion, the best Ninja Creami recipes are the ones that are easy to make, and this sorbet is no exception.
To make this recipe extra easy, I love using berry pie filling to make sure the sorbet is bursting with berry flavor and sweetness (we just love Ninja Creami berry recipes!).
Pair it with fresh lemon juice and lemon zest, and you’ve got the perfect balance of great flavor in a frozen treat!
I do something similar with my Ninja Creami cherry limeade sorbet, and the results are a perfectly creamy texture but without any need to pull out a food processor or other equipment.
I opted for a mixed berry pie filling made by Comstock, but you could certainly change it up!
You could use plain blueberry pie filling (for a lemon blueberry sorbet), blackberry pie filling (for a blackberry lemon sorbet), or raspberry pie filling (for a raspberry lemonade sorbet), or even strawberry pie filling (for lemon strawberry sorbet).
Keep in mind that pie fillings with blackberries or raspberries will most likely have some seeds in them (my mixed berry filling did).
I don’t mind the seeds, but I know sometimes kids or picky eaters may not like seeds in their sorbet, so you can opt for blueberry filling in that case.

How to Make Berry Lemonade Sorbet
It’s really easy to make this Ninja Creami sorbet! This is a fairly healthy treat you can enjoy on a hot summer day!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 21-oz can berry pie filling of choice
- Fresh lemon juice
- Fresh lemon zest
How to Make it:
Mix the berries with lemon juice. Scoop the berry pie filling into a Ninja Creami pint container, followed by the lemon juice (be careful not to exceed the max fill line on the pint).
Stir gently to combine.
Add lemon zest. Add the lemon zest to the pint container, stirring until incorporated.
Freeze. Close the lid on the pint container and transfer to a level surface in your freezer. Freeze for at least 24 hours.
Spin. Remove the pint container from the freezer and take off the lid. Place the pint into the outer bowl apparatus and close the outer bowl lid.
Place bowl assembly into the Ninja Creami ice cream machine. Press the Sorbet button. The motor base will start spinning and the cycle will take about 2 minutes.
Check consistency. After the sorbet function completes, remove the outer bowl from the machine and check the sorbet’s texture.
If it seems a bit crumbly, you can insert it back into the machine and use the Re-spin button to cycle it again.
If that doesn’t do the trick, you can add a tablespoon of fruit juice to the pint and re-spin again.
Then you’re ready to scoop and serve!
Notes and Adaptations:
- Feel free to add lime juice and zest instead of lemon for a different flavor twist!
- This frozen dessert would make a great base for a smoothie bowl–you can top with fresh fruit, nuts, coconut, or whatever sounds good.
- Because there is no cream cheese, heavy cream, or milk in this recipe, it’s the perfect treat for those who need dairy-free desserts.
- I have not tested this with “no added sugar” pie filling, but I think there would probably be enough sugar content in the fruit itself to work okay for the recipe.
- If you’re going to be enjoying leftovers of this sorbet, I recommend letting the pint container sit out at room temperature for 10 minutes or so to soften slightly before scooping.
