During the summer, fresh watermelon makes a regular appearance in our house. The juicy, ripe fruit is a nostalgic backdrop for hot, sticky days.

We love to make watermelon-flavored frozen treats, too, and have found that watermelon pairs really well with citrus.

The zippy, tart flavor of citrus enhances the natural sweetness of watermelon without overpowering it.

Since my family loves Ninja Creami watermelon lemonade sorbet, I decided to make a slushie using watermelon and citrus, but this time, with lime instead of lemon!

That’s how this Ninja Slushi watermelon limeade slush came to be, and it’s a hit in our home!

It’s super easy to make, with just two main ingredients. Add a sprig of fresh mint leaves to give it a little something extra!

Making Watermelon Limeade Slush

To make this slush, I decided to use a couple of juices from the Simply brand. I combined Simply Watermelon juice and Simply Limeade.

They’re easy to find in your local supermarket, and you can get at least a couple of batches out of the bottles.

I garnished mine with some fresh mint leaves, but you can also garnish with fresh fruit slices if you’d like.

How to Make Ninja Slushi Watermelon Limeade Slush

It’s really easy to whip up this summer favorite.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • Simply Watermelon Juice
  • Simply Limeade Juice
  • Mint Leaves (for garnish)

How to Make It:

(Full printable recipe card is available below)

Mix the juices. First, you’ll combine the juices in a large liquid measuring cup with a spout. You can measure and add them separately if you prefer.

I use a measuring cup with a spout so it’s easier to pour everything into the machine.

Freeze and churn. Next, you’ll power the machine on and press the Slush button. Allow the juices to churn and freeze.

Dispense. Once the machine has beeped to signal its completion, pull down on the lever to dispense the slushie into glasses.

Garnish as desired and serve!

Notes and Adaptations:

  • You can adjust the ratios of the juices if you’d like, but since limeade is stronger than watermelon juice, I used more watermelon and less lime to keep the flavors from overpowering each other.
  • The amount of time it takes to freeze will depend on the temperature of your ingredients to start (colder ingredients freeze faster), as well as the consistency you prefer.
  • Once the machine beeps to signal the mixture is ready, check the consistency. If it’s not as thick as you’d like, you can press the up arrow to increase the freeze level by one or two notches, if desired, then allow it to continue freezing.
