If you’ve ever been to Disney World or Disneyland, the chances are pretty good that you’ve had a Dole Whip.
This classic pineapple soft serve is a delightfully refreshing treat that’s perfect on a hot day in the theme park.
But because we can’t be on vacation all the time, I set out to try making a copycat version at home.
The result was this Ninja Slushi Dole Whip, and it’s completely delicious!
Best of all, you only need two ingredients to whip up a batch yourself.
Enjoy a glass while imagining you’re at the most Magical Place on Earth! 😉

Making a Copycat Dole Whip at Home
There are several ways to make your own version of a pineapple Dole Whip at home.
I’ve made a Ninja Creami Dole Whip and a Dole Whip in a traditional ice cream machine.
I’ve also made Dole Whip soft serve in the Ninja Swirl Creami.
So when I purchased a Ninja Slushi machine, I knew I wanted to try making a Dole Whip in it.
I used two simple ingredients to whip up the slush, and the result was SO good. My family made sure it disappeared quickly!
Although it isn’t technically a soft serve ice cream, the flavor and texture are surprisingly similar to what you’d get in the parks.

How to Make a Copycat Dole Whip in the Ninja Slushi Machine
It’s really easy to whip up this Disney-inspired treat!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Pineapple Juice
- Dream Whip Mix

How to Make It:
(Full printable recipe card is available below)
Mix the base. First, you’ll combine cold pineapple juice with Dream Whip mix in a large liquid measuring cup.
Whisk well to incorporate, allowing the Dream Whip mix to dissolve.

Freeze. Pour the mixture into the opening on the top of the Ninja Slushi machine. Close the opening, power on the machine, and press the Slush button.
Allow the mixture to spin and freeze, until the desired consistency is reached or the machine beeps to signal its completion.

Serve. Once the desired texture is achieved, pull the lever to dispense the slush into a glass.
Serve and enjoy!

Notes and Adaptations:
- I prefer to mix the ingredients in a liquid measuring cup with a spout, as that makes it easier to pour it into the machine.
- The length of time it takes for the mixture to freeze will depend in part on the temperature of the liquid. I prefer to use refrigerated liquids, as they freeze faster.
- When the machine beeps, if the mixture isn’t as thick as you’d like, you can press the up button to increase the freezing level of the mixture by a notch or two. It will then continue churning and freezing for a bit longer, making the mixture thicker.
- Dream Whip is a powdered whipped topping mix. It’s sold in boxes of 2 or 4 packets, generally found in the baking aisle of the grocery store. You’ll be using one packet in this recipe, so you can save extra packets for later!

Recommended Equipment:
- Ninja Slushi Machine – Price and availability often varies, so I recommend checking the price here on Amazon and here at Walmart.
- Pyrex 4-Cup Measuring Cup – For easy mixing and pouring.
