If you’ve ever been to Disney World or Disneyland, the chances are pretty good that you’ve had a Dole Whip.

This classic pineapple soft serve is a delightfully refreshing treat that’s perfect on a hot day in the theme park.

But because we can’t be on vacation all the time, I set out to try making a copycat version at home.

The result was this Ninja Slushi Dole Whip, and it’s completely delicious!

Best of all, you only need two ingredients to whip up a batch yourself.

Enjoy a glass while imagining you’re at the most Magical Place on Earth! 😉

Making a Copycat Dole Whip at Home

There are several ways to make your own version of a pineapple Dole Whip at home.

I’ve made a Ninja Creami Dole Whip and a Dole Whip in a traditional ice cream machine.

I’ve also made Dole Whip soft serve in the Ninja Swirl Creami.

So when I purchased a Ninja Slushi machine, I knew I wanted to try making a Dole Whip in it.

I used two simple ingredients to whip up the slush, and the result was SO good. My family made sure it disappeared quickly!

Although it isn’t technically a soft serve ice cream, the flavor and texture are surprisingly similar to what you’d get in the parks.

Notes and Adaptations:

  • I prefer to mix the ingredients in a liquid measuring cup with a spout, as that makes it easier to pour it into the machine.
  • The length of time it takes for the mixture to freeze will depend in part on the temperature of the liquid. I prefer to use refrigerated liquids, as they freeze faster.
  • When the machine beeps, if the mixture isn’t as thick as you’d like, you can press the up button to increase the freezing level of the mixture by a notch or two. It will then continue churning and freezing for a bit longer, making the mixture thicker.
  • Dream Whip is a powdered whipped topping mix. It’s sold in boxes of 2 or 4 packets, generally found in the baking aisle of the grocery store. You’ll be using one packet in this recipe, so you can save extra packets for later!
