Did you grow up drinking orange soda? We would sometimes have it for special occasions, or it would sometimes be used in a punch for gatherings and parties.

My kids have grown to really enjoy the flavor as a special treat every now and then, so I thought it would be fun to make a Ninja Slushi orange soda slush for the whole family.

Since I’d already made a root beer float slush, a Cherry Coke slush, and a Shirley Temple slush, I knew that soda works really well in the Ninja Slushi machine.

We loved the final product—it’s a really tasty treat for a hot summer day, when you just need a little something to help you cool off.

It’s on our list of the best Ninja Slushi recipes, and once you’ve tried it, I’m sure you’ll see why!

Orange Fanta Slush

We used Orange Fanta for our slush, but you could use any brand of orange soda you can find—SunKist orange or Orange Crush would work well, too.

Just don’t use a diet orange soda, since it won’t have enough sugar to work properly in the machine.

You can use the soda straight up, or you can add a little Half n Half to give it more of an orange creamsicle flair.

It’s just as easy as it sounds!

Notes and Adaptations:

  • The length of time it takes for the ingredients to freeze will depend on their temperature. I like to use refrigerated ingredients, as they freeze faster.
  • When the machine beeps, if the mixture isn’t as thick as you’d like, you can press the up button to increase the freezing level of the mixture by a notch or two. It will then continue churning and freezing for a bit longer, making the mixture thicker.
