Using Berries in the Ninja Creami
As you can see, there are so many ways to use berries in your ice creams, sorbets, sherbets, frozen yogurt, and milkshakes!
Here are a few of our tips when working with berries:
- Keep in mind that some berries have larger seeds (like blackberries), and you may want to strain those seeds out of your base before freezing.
- If your berries aren’t very sweet to begin with, slice them and sprinkle some sugar or monk fruit sweetener over them, allowing them to release their juices.
- Canned pie filling is a great shortcut!
- I recommend thawing frozen berries in order to make them easier to incorporate with your other ingredients, unless you’re going to include a sugary liquid with them.
