Ninja Slushi Hibiscus Limeade Slush

Sharing is caring!

Hibiscus and lime slush combines two classic summer flavors into one delicious frozen drink that’s perfect for a hot day.

My kids and I loved this Ninja Slushi hibiscus slush! It’s a great flavor pairing of sweet and tart, so it’s a perky and refreshing slush that makes you feel like you’re on vacation.

I’ve always been a fan of fruity and floral flavor combinations, and hibiscus tea has always been at the top of that list.

The variety I get, Tazo Passion tea, combines hibiscus with raspberry, giving it a sweet and tangy flair.

So recently, when we had one of those hot and humid days where you feel like you can’t even go outside, I decided to pair the hibiscus tea with some limeade and make a slush.

It was the perfect treat that helped cool everyone down and bring a little pizzazz to the day.

This Ninja Slushi hibiscus limeade slush was super simple to make, with just three ingredients that you can keep on hand for those days when you just need something a little extra special.

Making Hibiscus Limeade Slush

To make the slush, I used Tazo Passion hibiscus tea. I steeped one teabag in a cup of hot water, then made sure to let it cool completely.

Since there’s no sugar in the tea, it’s important to add some (there’s not enough in the limeade to compensate for the lack of sugar in the tea). This ensures the slush will actually freeze properly.

You can either add regular granulated sugar, or if you want a lower calorie option, allulose is one that will still work well in the Slushi machine.

Then I used Simply Limeade, because it’s easy to find at my local grocery store.

If you have a different brand of tea or limeade that you prefer, feel free to use those instead!

Freeze the slush. Next, you’ll power on the Ninja Slushi and select the Slush option. Allow the mixture to churn and freeze.

Once the machine has beeped to signal its completion, pull down on the lever to dispense the frozen slush into glasses. Then serve and enjoy!

Notes and Adaptations:

  • I steeped one teabags of Tazo Passion hibiscus herbal tea in one cup of water. If you want a more concentrated hibiscus flavor, you could steep two bags in the cup of water.
  • If you prefer not to use sugar, you can use allulose instead.
  • The amount of time it takes to freeze will depend on the temperature of your ingredients to start (colder ingredients freeze faster), as well as the consistency you prefer.
  • Once the machine beeps to signal the mixture is ready, check the consistency. If it’s not as thick as you’d like, you can press the up arrow to increase the freeze level by one or two notches, if desired, then allow it to continue freezing.
  • I like to use a liquid measuring cup that has a spout, since it makes it easy to pour ingredients into the machine.
