One of my favorite things about the Ninja Creami is how easy it is to make delicious desserts that also pack in some nutrition.
In our house, I love to make frozen yogurt, because it tastes just like ice cream, which means my kids–even the ones who don’t like yogurt–will gobble it up!
It’s a great way to get in some extra protein without a lot of extra effort.
We’ve made lots of Ninja Creami frozen yogurt recipes already, but when I started testing out the new Ninja Creami Swirl machine, I knew I wanted to try frozen yogurt in soft serve form–similar to what you would get at a FroYo shoppe.
The result was so delicious!
This Ninja Creami banana Nutella frozen yogurt has just the right amount of sweetness to make it feel decadent, with an ultra-creamy texture from the Greek yogurt.
It can be made as a scoopable treat or a soft serve dessert, so you can make it in the original Ninja Creami or the Ninja Swirl machine. Either way, it’s so tasty!

Making Nutella and Banana Frozen Yogurt
When I make frozen yogurt in the Ninja Creami, I like to use a whole milk Greek yogurt rather than low fat or skim.
This helps give it a rich and creamy texture, without needing any heavy cream.
The Greek yogurt also provides some extra protein, which is always a win!
I used a ripe banana for flavor and sweetness, plus Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread to give it the perfect amount of decadence.
If you’re using the original Ninja Creami machine, you’ll use the Ice Cream button for this recipe.
For the Ninja Creami Swirl, you’ll choose soft serve or scoopable, then you can select the Frozen Yogurt setting (though the Ice Cream setting will work fine, too!).

How to Make Ninja Creami Banana Nutella Frozen Yogurt
It’s really easy to whip up this sweet treat.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Milk
- Ripe banana
- Nutella
- Greek yogurt
How to Make it:
(Full printable recipe card is available below)
Blend. To start, combine the milk, ripe banana, and Nutella in a large liquid measuring cup.
Use an immersion blender to blend everything together until smooth.

Add yogurt. Add the Greek yogurt to the mixture, then blend to incorporate.
Pour the mixture into a pint container.

Freeze. Close the lid on the pint container and transfer to a level surface in the freezer for at least 24 hours.
Spin. Remove the pint from the freezer and take off the lid.
Place the pint into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami machine, then secure the outer bowl lid. Transfer the outer bowl to the machine, locking it into place.
For the original Ninja Creami machine, press the Ice Cream button. For the Ninja Creami Swirl, choose Scoopable or Soft Serve, then press the Frozen Yogurt button.
Allow the cycle to complete. If needed, perform a Re-spin cycle until a smooth consistency is achieved.

Dispense as soft serve, if desired. If you’re going to dispense it as a soft serve in the Ninja Swirl, you’ll want to remove the pint from the outer bowl, then secure the soft serve dispensing lid on the pint.
Match the blue line on the pint with the blue line on the machine, then insert and twist the pint into place on the dispensing side.
Twist the white pint dispensing base into the open position.

Once everything’s in position, you can pull the lever to dispense the frozen yogurt into a cone or bowl.
Serve and enjoy!

Notes and Adaptations:
- I recommend using whole milk Greek yogurt (I use 10% milkfat) for the creamiest texture. If necessary, you can use 2% lowfat Greek yogurt, but I would avoid using fat free yogurt, if possible. If using lower fat yogurt, use the Lite Ice Cream setting (on the original Ninja Creami).
- To enjoy leftovers, let the pint sit out at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to soften slightly before serving.
