Making the Best Banana Milkshake in the Ninja Creami
I’ve been experimenting lately with adding a little bit of instant pudding mix to my Ninja Creami milkshakes, and I love the results!
So for this recipe, we’re using both fresh bananas and banana pudding mix, because that yields the perfect banana flavor.
The banana pieces get blended up, so the milkshake is smooth, not chunky.
It’s not too sweet, not artificial-tasting, and the pudding also gives it a nice, thick texture.
I’m using vanilla ice cream, because that’s what I had on hand.
You could also use banana flavored ice cream, if you happen to have some.

(Full printable recipe card is located below)
Add ice cream and pudding. In a Ninja Creami pint container, you’ll scoop some vanilla ice cream.
Then, sprinkle the dry instant pudding mix on top.
Pour the milk over the pudding mix, then add your chopped bananas on top.
Spin. Place the pint container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami, locking the outer bowl lid into place.
Transfer the bowl apparatus to the Ninja Creami machine, securing it into place. Press the Milkshake button.
Once the cycle has finished, remove the pint from the machine.
You can serve directly from the pint, or you can spoon it into a glass.
If desired, top with whipped cream and sliced bananas. You could even add vanilla wafers if you want!
Notes and Adaptations:
- I used regular instant banana pudding mix, but you could use sugar-free pudding mix if you prefer.
- You can make a dairy-free milkshake by using our Ninja Creami dairy-free vanilla ice cream and a non-dairy milk.
- If you have banana ice cream on hand, you can use that instead of vanilla ice cream, if you’d like.
