It’s so fun to experiment with different ingredients and flavors with the Ninja Creami machine.

I love how easy it is to customize frozen desserts to meet dietary needs and taste preferences, too!

Whether you’re interested in making higher-protein recipes, low sugar recipes, or even low fat recipes, it’s really quite simple to do with the Ninja Creami!

Ever since I made vanilla-flavored Ninja Creami cottage cheese ice cream, I knew I would need to try different flavor varieties.

As someone who doesn’t really even like cottage cheese, I knew it would be important for the ice cream to actually taste good.

I was so surprised at how well the cottage cheese worked to create a creamy texture and pack in some extra protein, without affecting the flavor.

This Ninja Creami strawberry cottage cheese ice cream is perfection!

It has the sweet flavor of strawberries, the creamy texture of a silky smooth ice cream, and nobody could even tell it had cottage cheese in it.

One of my kids (who I know would never touch cottage cheese) single-handedly ate almost an entire pint, without batting an eye!

Seriously, this one is a delicious, healthy treat you can feel good about.

Strawberry Cottage Cheese Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami

In order to make this ice cream taste amazing, it’s important to capitalize on the sweetness of the strawberries.

I slice the strawberries, then mix them with some monk fruit sweetener or sugar, and let them macerate.

I do this with my Ninja Creami strawberry frozen yogurt, too, and it really brings out the flavor.

The berries will release their sweet juice, which will become almost syrupy. This is the good stuff!

That all gets mixed with cottage cheese and a bit of milk, which transforms into an amazing dessert.

I used low-fat cottage cheese and 2% milk, because I wanted this to be a lower-fat Ninja Creami recipe.

But you can opt for full-fat cottage cheese and milk, if preferred!

For another flavor option, try this Ninja Creami chocolate cottage cheese ice cream or Ninja Creami blueberry cottage cheese ice cream.

How to Make Ninja Creami Strawberry Ice Cream with Cottage Cheese

It’s easier than you think to make this simple yet tasty dessert.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Sugar or monkfruit sweetener (I like Lakanto)
  • Low fat cottage cheese
  • 2% milk

How to Make it:

(Full printable recipe card is available below)

Macerate the berries. Mix the strawberries with sugar or monkfruit sweetener, then let them sit for about 10-15 minutes.

Stir them occasionally, allowing the juices to release from the berrries, creating a sweet syrup.

Blend the base. Combine the berries and all of their syrup with the cottage cheese and milk.

Use an immersion blender to blend everything together well, until it’s smooth.

Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container.

Freeze. Secure the lid on the pint container and transfer to a level surface in your freezer for at least 24 hours.

Spin the ice cream. Remove the pint container from the freezer and take off its lid.

Place the container into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami machine, then secure the outer bowl lid.

Transfer the outer bowl apparatus to the Ninja Creami machine, locking it into place.

Press the Lite Ice Cream button and allow the cycle to complete.

Check texture. Remove the pint from the machine and check the ice cream’s consistency.

If it appears crumbly, insert it back into the machine and use the Re-spin button.

If it’s still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of milk to the ice cream, then Re-spin again.

It should be nice and creamy!

Feel free to garnish with additional fresh strawberries, if you’d like.

Notes and Adaptations:

  • I used low fat cottage cheese (I like Good Culture brand), but you can opt for full fat if desired.
  • After you blend the base together, give it a taste. If it isn’t quite sweet enough, add a tablespoon of sugar or monk fruit sweetener and stir to combine.
