This easy Dash Mug recipe is proof that you don’t need a big, fancy ice cream maker to get delicious results.

Since this is small batch cookies and cream ice cream, I can customize it exactly how I like.

Customizing Dash Mug Oreo Ice Cream

One of the best things about this Dash Mug Oreo ice cream recipe is how easy it is to customize. Love extra cookie chunks? Add an extra Oreo (or two) for even more chocolatey crunch.

Want a twist on the classic? Try swapping regular Oreos for a fun flavor like Golden Oreos, mint, or peanut butter.

Process the mixture. Next, you’ll remove My Mug bowl from the freezer (it needs to have been freezing for at least 24 hours).

Affix the dasher paddle to the My Mug lid, then attach the lid to the mug bowl.

Press the power button to turn on. With the dasher spinning, gradually pour the ice cream mixture through the pour hole, into the bowl.

Allow the mixture to churn for about 20 minutes, or until soft-serve consistency is reached.

Add the cookies. Last, you’ll take about 2/3 of the cookie pieces and push them through the pour hole, allowing them to be incorporated into the ice cream.

Remove the lid from the mug and serve, topping with remaining Oreo pieces.

Notes and Adaptations:

  • The resulting ice cream will be the consistency of a soft-serve ice cream. Enjoy as-is, or pop the mug into the freezer for a couple of hours to solidify further to a more scoopable texture.
  • If you have the larger Dash My Pint machine, you should be able to simply double the recipe ingredients and churn for 20-30 minutes.
