How to Make Homemade Christmas Tree Cake Ice Cream

It’s really easy to make this holiday treat.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

  • Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes
  • Heavy Cream
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Red Frosting (In a Piping Bag)
  • Green Sanding Sugar

How to Make It:

Cut the Christmas Tree Cakes. First, you’ll remove Christmas Tree Cakes from their wrappers and and cut them into 1-inch pieces. Set aside.

Prepare the ice cream base. Next, you’ll beat the heavy cream on high speed until stiff peaks form.

Gradually pour in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract while beating the mixture on low speed, until no streaks remain.

Layer the ingredients. Then, you’ll spoon half of the ice cream mixture into a quart-sized freezer-safe container.

Press half of the cake pieces into the ice cream. Pipe the red frosting over the ice cream and cake pieces.

Add the remaining ice cream over the frosting, then press the remaining cake pieces into the ice cream mixture.

Sprinkle the top with the green sanding sugar.

Freeze and serve. Last, you’ll cover the container with plastic wrap or a lid and freeze for at least 6 hours or until the ice cream is firm.

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ cup red frosting, in a piping bag
  • Green sanding sugar, for decoration

Instructions

    1. Remove Christmas Tree Cakes from their wrappers and and cut them into 1-inch pieces. Set aside.
    2. In a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment (or a large mixing bowl with an electric hand mixer), beat the heavy cream on high speed until stiff peaks form.
    3. Gradually pour in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract while beating the mixture on low speed, until no streaks remain.
    4. Spoon half of the ice cream mixture into a quart-sized freezer-safe container. Press half of the cake pieces into the ice cream. Pipe the red frosting over the ice cream and cake pieces.
    5. Add the remaining ice cream over the frosting, then press remaining cake pieces into the ice cream mixture.
    6. Sprinkle the top with the green sanding sugar.
    7. Cover the container with plastic wrap or a lid and freeze for at least 6 hours or until the ice cream is firm.
