One of my family’s favorite fall traditions is apple picking at a local apple orchard.

It’s a quintessential autumn activity, and we always come home with bags full of hand-picked apples.

But because it can still be somewhat warm in September and October in the south, we love to enjoy the apple cider slushies sold by the orchard.

They press their own cider and transform it into a cold and satisfying frozen treat, so we can enjoy the warm flavors of fall in the warm weather.

That was the inspiration for this Ninja Creami apple cider sorbet! I wanted to use apple cider to make a cold treat at home, complete with warm cinnamon and sweet brown sugar.

It’s on our list of the best Ninja Creami recipes for fall, and once you try it, I bet it will become a tradition in your home!

Making Ninja Creami Sorbet with Apple Cider

When you’re making this sorbet, you’ll want to make sure you actually have apple cider, not apple cider vinegar or regular old apple juice.

Apple cider has been simmered with spices to give it a deeper flavor than plain apple juice.

Then we need to add some extra sugar, so our sorbet will have a nice texture. I use brown sugar for this because it’s molasses flavor goes well with the cider.

I also like to add a little applesauce, which provides some more apple flavor and gives it a little substance.

If it’s still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of apple cider and Re-spin once more. It should be nice and smooth.
