It’s similar to a Dairy Queen Blizzard, and it’s easier than ever to enjoy one at home.

Whether you add mini M&Ms like I did or a handful of chopped Oreos, this Ninja Creami McFlurry copycat recipe is sure to become a favorite!

Copycat McFlurry in the Ninja Creami

In my opinion, one of the keys to making a delicious McFlurry starts with the type of vanilla ice cream you’re using.

I’m using a version of my Ninja Creami Junket ice cream for this recipe, because it has the iconic flavor of an amazing soft serve vanilla ice cream.

Then of course, you can create different varieties by mixing in different ingredients!

Mini M&Ms, chopped Oreos, mini Reese’s cups, and more all make great options.

You can eat it straight out of the pint container, or you can scoop it into dessert cups.

How to Make a Ninja Creami McFlurry or Blizzard

It’s really easy to make this tasty treat.

Ingredients You’ll Need:

How to Make It:

(Full printable recipe is available below)

Dissolve the mix. First, you’ll combine milk and junket mix in a small mixing bowl or large liquid measuring cup.

Whisk until the dry mix has dissolved into the milk.

Add cream. Stir in the heavy cream until incorporated.

Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container, being careful not to exceed the max fill line.

Freeze. Place the lid on the pint container, then transfer it to a level surface in your freezer for at least 24 hours.

Spin. Remove the pint from the machine and take off the lid.

Place the pint into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami, then twist the outer bowl into place in the Ninja Creami machine.

Press the Ice Cream button and allow the cycle to complete.

Re-spin if needed. Remove the pint from the machine and check the ice cream’s consistency. If it appears crumbly, insert it back into the machine and press Re-spin.

If it’s still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of milk and press the Re-spin button again.

Mix-in. Remove the pint from the machine and use a butter knife to create a well in the center of the pint.

It should be about a half-inch or inch wide and extend all the way to the bottom of the pint.

Add your mix-in (in my case, mini M&Ms) to the well, then insert the pint back into the machine. Press the Mix-in button and let the cycle finish.

Now it’s ready to serve!

If you’d like, you can sprinkle some additional pieces of your mix-in on top.

Notes and Adaptations:

  • If you’re using mini M&Ms, some of the color may eventually bleed into your ice cream over time, but the flavor won’t be affected.
  • Try different mix-ins for different varieties! Cookie pieces, candy bits, nuts, and more all make delicious add-ins.
  • Feel free to enjoy this right out of the pint, or scoop it out into a dessert cup if you prefer.
  • If you can’t find Junket mix at your local grocery store, you can buy it here on Amazon.
