I love the ability to make countless flavors of ice cream in the Ninja Creami, often with really simple ingredients.

And although many people consider ice cream to be a summer-only treat, I personally enjoy it year-round!

This Ninja Creami maple ice cream has the distinctive flavor we associate with fall, which is what landed it on my list of Ninja Creami recipes for fall.

But in truth, it can be enjoyed any time of the year.

You can mix-in some walnuts or pecans for a maple nut ice cream, or do what I did and serve it with some maple cookies!

Maple Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami

To make this easy ice cream, I used some instant vanilla pudding mix.

Using pudding mix in the Ninja Creami helps your creations to come out nice and creamy, plus it gives sweetness and flavor to the final product.

I added maple extract to the milk and cream, which gives the classic flavor necessary for this recipe.

Some people use maple syrup to make maple ice cream, but I don’t usually find it strong enough to give much flavor, aside from sweetness.

Maple extract is more potent than you might think, so a little bit goes a long way.

I enjoyed mine with maple sandwich cookies, but you could also chop up the cookies and add them as a mix-in.

Add a sprinkling of nuts, too, if you’d like a hint of crunch!

Freeze. Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container, being careful not to exceed the max fill line.

Place the lid on the container and transfer it to your freezer for at least 24 hours.

Spin. Remove the container from the freezer and place it into the outer bowl of the Ninja Creami machine.

Secure the outer bowl lid into place, then transfer the bowl to the Ninja Creami machine and lock it into position.

Press the Ice Cream button and allow the cycle to complete.

Re-spin if needed. Take a look at the texture of the ice cream. If it looks kind of powdery or crumbly, insert it back into the machine and press the Re-spin button.

If it’s still crumbly after that, add a tablespoon of milk to the ice cream and Re-spin once more.

Optional Mix-in. If you’d like to add a mix-in, such as pecans, walnuts, or chopped maple cookies, use a knife or spoon to create a well in the middle of your ice cream.

The well should be about a half inch wide, and it should extend to the bottom of the pint container.

Add your mix-in pieces to the well, then insert the pint back into the machine.

Press the Mix-in button and let the cycle complete.

Serve and enjoy!
